Services · Pricing · Engagements

Two ways to work together.

§ 03 · Beyond the blueprint

What good coaches do that bad coaches skip.

Both tiers include these specific deliverables — the kind of thinking that gets quietly forgotten when a “coach” is really a product salesperson.

Value-Add 01

Tax positioning review

Beyond filing — we look at decisions that compound. Roth conversions, Backdoor strategies, capital gains harvesting, charitable bunching.

Value-Add 02

Beneficiary audit

The forgotten document that overrides your will. We check every retirement account, every life insurance policy, every old 401(k) from a former employer.

Value-Add 03

Estate document checklist

Will, healthcare directive, POA, guardianship designation. We don’t draft them — but we make sure none of them is missing or stale.

Value-Add 04

Education funding projection

Multi-child, multi-vehicle (529s, Coverdells, brokerage), realistic about what college will actually cost — and what your family will actually pay.

Value-Add 05

Insurance gap analysis

Term life, disability, umbrella liability, long-term care. The right amount, no more — and exactly when to revisit.

Value-Add 06

Annual cash flow refresh (Ongoing only)

The reset that makes the difference between a blueprint that ages well and a blueprint that turns into a relic on your laptop.

§ 04 · Frequently asked

Questions clients ask before they hire.

How do you get paid?

You pay me directly — I’m never paid by product companies. No commissions, no kickbacks, no hidden incentives. What you get is guidance built around what’s best for you, not whatever pays me a referral. It’s the model where a coach’s interests genuinely align with yours.

Do you manage my investments?

No. I’ll recommend an investment approach as part of your blueprint — what to hold, where, in what ratios — and you’ll implement it through your existing brokerage (Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab). That keeps fees low and keeps me focused on coaching, not on chasing returns.

Do you work with homeschool families specifically?

Yes — it’s an area where I do some of my deepest work, and I’ve built dedicated resources for it (see the homeschool families page). That said, the core coaching process works for anyone who wants real control over cash flow and their money, regardless of your situation. The discovery call is the right place to figure out the fit.

Can I do this if I’m tight on cash flow?

Honest answer: it depends. If you’re in a genuine cash flow crisis, a full coaching engagement isn’t the right first move — immediate budgeting and triage is. If you’re stretched but stable, this is exactly the work that pays back fastest. Discovery call helps us figure out which one you are.

What’s the difference between this and what my insurance agent offers?

An insurance agent sells a product and is paid by commission. I get paid by you, not by a product company, for coaching. Both can be useful; they are not the same thing. If your “financial professional” only recommends products that pay them, that’s not coaching — that’s sales.

Do you take clients outside Virginia?

Yes. I work with clients across most of the U.S. as a coach. Confirm your state on the discovery call — if there’s ever a reason coaching isn’t the right fit for your location, we’ll figure that out together up front.

When can we meet?

I work on a surge schedule: concentrated meeting weeks (usually 4–6 weeks per quarter) when client meetings happen, alternating with focus weeks for deep coaching work. This is how I keep the quality of every meeting high. Booking availability reflects this rhythm — if you don’t see a time that works, message me directly.

What do I actually get?

Two documents: the comprehensive written blueprint (the technical deliverable, usually 40–60 pages) and the One-Page Blueprint (the daily-use document). Plus six specific Value Adds in the project tier, plus quarterly meetings and a year of support in the ongoing tier. Plus — and this matters — the confidence that comes from knowing your blueprint is built, written down, and reviewed.

Not sure which fits? Let’s figure it out together.

The discovery call is the easiest way to see which engagement is right — or whether we’re a fit at all.
